Impact Hub Dar es Salaam has been a catalyst for entrepreneurship, creativity and impact-driven innovation in Tanzania. It is therefore with sadness that, after several years of inspiring work, we announce that Impact Hub Dar es Salaam is officially closing its chapter within the Impact Hub Network.
Throughout its journey, Impact Hub Dar es Salaam has been committed to supporting entrepreneurs, creatives and changemakers in building sustainable solutions to local and global challenges. With a strong focus on entrepreneurship, the creative economy and inclusive innovation, it played an important role in strengthening Tanzania's entrepreneurial ecosystem while connecting local communities to a global network of impact innovators.
Over the years, Impact Hub Dar es Salaam supported entrepreneurs through business development programmes, capacity building initiatives and international partnerships. It created opportunities for women entrepreneurs, youth and creatives through programmes such as Enrich in Africa and the Bayer Foundation Women Empowerment Award, while also championing the arts and creative industries through collaborations with cultural institutions and community partners. By hosting workshops, events, showcases and networking opportunities, the Hub provided a space where ideas could grow into businesses, collaborations and lasting social impact.
On behalf of the Impact Hub Network, we thank the team at Impact Hub Dar es Salaam for their dedication, passion and contribution over the years. We wish them every success in the next chapter of their journey and hope our paths continue to cross in advancing entrepreneurship and positive impact.
Tanzania has a vibrant and growing community of entrepreneurs, innovators and creatives, and we believe the country continues to hold tremendous potential for impact-driven entrepreneurship. We therefore warmly invite future founders to consider bringing an Impact Hub in the region back into the Network. In the meantime, if you are looking to connect with the Impact Hub community in the region, we encourage you to reach out to nearby Impact Hubs across East Africa and the wider African network via our global website.
